Vitruvian VR (VVR SRL) was born in 2019 and it is specialized in the manufacturing of gyroscopic simulators for Virtual Reality. The machines use sophisticated automations and industrial components allowing high performance suitable for the simulation of land and air vehicles.
Vitruvian VR is among the 10 European aerospace startups selected by TakeOff 2022, the acceleration program dedicated to startups in the Aerospace and Advanced Hardware sectors. The accelerator is a joint initiative of CDP Venture Capital and Silicon Valley’s Plug And Play Tech Center (Co-investor and operational manager).
The target market is the Location Based Entertainment (VR arcades, amusement parks, eSports events, etc), as well as Edutainment (science museums, observatories and planetariums). With no marketing budget Vituvian VR gathered requests for 200 machines and signed Letter of Interest for the first 44. The shipment of the first batch is planned for the second half of 2024. The aim of the company is to expand to another sector very focused on the opportunities offered by VR: professional training for both civil and military aviation.
Vitruvian VR is a project born from a team of engineers, developers and consultants coordinated by four founders: Michele Ghedina, Niccolò Galiazzo, Adriano Del Moro and Giovanni Fantoni Modena. The startup has been invited to international events such as the Wired Next Fest, the Frankfurt Biennale, the Riyad Light Festival, the London Tech Week and on 21 October 2022 it received the prestigious AWEsome Award at the Augmented World Expo, the most important international fair in the XR sector. Quoting AWE’s President Ori Inbar, “the award was given to a demo that is so ahead of its times that it almost feels science fiction”.
